I do not use credit cards as i do not like to get into debt.
My visa card is Visa.

You cannot rent car using a debit card because they put it on credit just in case you dont return it they can charge all they want.

Policies on debit cards vary by rental company. You will need to check with individual rental companies to see if any will rent to you with a debit card. If they do, they will probably put a hold on your account for a substantial amount of money, so make sure that you have enough money in your account or you may find that your card stops working mid-trip due to lack of funds.
I recommend that you get a credit card instead and use that. Just pay it off as soon as the bill arrives. You won’t go into debt and you won’t have any hassles renting a car.

The multi nationals will ask for a credit card. You can use a debit card or cash with Tony’s rent a car http://www.tonysrentacar.com or tel. 952236689. Their cars are fine, they’ll meet you in the arrivals hall, sign the paperwork and you’re ready to go. Not sure what the deposit is but I don’t think it’s huge. I have recommended them to friends who have been using the company for 5 or 6 years without any problems. Good luck and enjoy your holiday and the Costa del Sol
