Most airlines and airports effectively “shut down” on Christmas Day, in-fact Glasgow International is one of only 5 airports in the UK open on Christmas Day, along with Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Manchester.
Easyjet and FlyGlobespan both operate daily from Glasgow to Alicante, however these airlines do not have any flights on Christmas Day.
The only airlines that would possibly operate this service on Christmas Day are the charter airlines, however Christmas Day is a Tuesday and the charter flights to Alicante go out on a Saturday, so to answer your question, no there are no flights on Christmas day from Glasgow to Alicante.
Please help! Were looking at car rental….which is probably going to cost us 300 pounds for the week. We dont want to get coach. Does anyone know a rough guess of how much a taxi would be?
A taxi with Alicante Airport transfer will cost 123 euros one way for between 1 – 4 persons.

Alternatively, you could consider "shuttledirect" who currently have the cost at 105.58 euros (£94.36p) for a one way trip for 2 persons. This could be by mini bus or larger coach depending on the number booking this service.

Am going to UK over christmas and want to leave my car at Alicante airport, can anyone recommend a long term parking company that also provides a shuttle service. Was told about Aupa but they ignore emails and don’t answer their phone!
I would be inclined to ring the airport and ask them they should be able to give you information you require.
Does anyone know if there is a public bus service from Alicante airport to the centre of Benidorm? If so, as much info as possible would be helpful, ie what number, where does it leave from, how often, cost etc.
The information given by the person above is correct, but it is worth noting that they are every two hours, for the most part, which can result in a long wait, when all you want to do once you arrive is to get going.
When I go to Benidorm (returned 3 weeks ago) I use the services of "Shuttledirect", by booking on-line. You are met by an English girl, at their desk at Alicante Airport and shown to your small coach, just outside the terminal. The service is superb and, of course, you are dropped off/picked up at your hotel or apartment, whereas the bus drops you off in the centre of Benidorm, meaning you still have to get to your accommodation. The cost for two persons is around £20 each way, much, much cheaper than a taxi.
Is there a bus service?
The taxi fare should be between 58 – 70 euros, depending on the time of day, but if you choose this method of travel check with the driver before you get in.
During the summer months there is a bus direct from the airport to Benidorm, about 13 times during the day and on the hour. The fare is 7 or 8 euros one way. The downside of the bus is that you still have to find your way to the hotel/apartment, from Benidorm bus station.
The other alternative, and one I’ve recently used, is booking on line with "Shuttle direct", who will get you to and from the hotel on a mini bus/small shuttle bus. They are very efficient and have an English representative at their desk at Alicante airport. You meet the transport right outside the arrivals hall.
I will be arriving at Alicante airport on the 12th of June, and need a lift to Caba Roig, i am willing to pay going rate. I am also looking for a price of a day return from Caba roig to Benidorn
